Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer who will engage directly with customers to support and resolve quality issues. This role involves addressing customer-reported defects, facilitating communication among team members, and implementing corrective actions. Responsibilities may include conducting PPAPs, managing containment and sorting activities, and writing detailed reports on analyses and corrective measures. The Quality Engineer will also lead weekly meetings with clients and internal teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of quality issues.

Responsibilities

Address customer-reported quality issues and communicate them to the team.Conduct PPAPs and manage containment and sorting activities.Write detailed reports on analysis and corrective actions.Troubleshoot processes on the floor with the team to determine the cause of defects and provide resolutions.Communicate with customers both verbally and in writing.Lead weekly meetings with clients and internal teams.

Essential Skills

Quality engineering expertise.Strong problem-solving skills.Experience in corrective action plans and root cause analysis.Excellent customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication.Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Experience in automotive quality and OEM auto quality.Familiarity with customer complaints and corrective actions.General working knowledge of automotive or industrial manufacturing, including AIAG, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and 8D.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean room manufacturing environment that is climate-controlled. The position is a contract role, with a strong possibility of conversion to a full-time position. The dress code includes khakis/work pants and a polo, with safety shoes required on the production floor. Smocks and hairnets are also mandatory on the production floor, and shoe covers are provided if needed. The company provides a laptop. Typical working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for overtime. The position involves working with electronic control units.

This is a Contract position based out of Harrodsburg, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
