KBR is seeking Quality Engineers to support NASA programs. We are looking for both full-time & part-time. These Quality Engineers will support the development and implementation of mission assurance requirements over the entire project life cycle. These Quality Engineers will also focus on supplier surveillance and inspections. This position will monitor processes for compliance to the developer’s procedures and contractual requirements.
This is an incumbent capture requisition for the SMAS III contract. This role is contingent upon contract award.

Ensure that flight hardware anomalies, corrective actions, and re-verifications are documented in accordance with the contractors’ non-conformance and corrective action systemParticipate in production planning, review manufacturing flow plans and participate in Manufacturing and Test Readiness Reviews (MRRs and TRRs)Examine process design and/or process qualification records, procedure review, work order review, and verifying that labs carry required certificationsReview flight hardware records and ensure all open items are identified and addressed prior to the performance of testsMonitor contractor quality and safety controls, and participate in quality assurance activities during fabrication, integration, and testsQAR monitoringSupport activities related to root cause corrective actionsSupport processes for collecting and analyzing data that measures supplier successReview the supplier’s CDRL documents related to quality assurance and provide recommendationsReview flight hardware records for completeness prior to integration & final acceptance testingPerform a final instrument “buy-off” reviewComplete thorough inspectionsEducation, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and six years of Quality Engineering Experience or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree 10 + years Quality Engineering experiencePrevious NASA or aerospace industry experienceGMIPS for Electronic BoardsPre-cap inspection of hybrid microcircuits100% of solder joints prior to conformal coating of each flight printed wiring assembly prior to conformal coating.100% of conformal coatings on flight printed wiring assemblies.Final workmanship inspection prior to box level final closure prior to integration into the next level of assembly.Connector mates to mission hardware integrated into the spacecraft.General workmanship quality prior to final acceptance testingGeneral workmanship prior to shipmentConfirm shipping packaging conforms to requirements and is adequatePreferred Training:

$108,200.00 - $162,300.00
The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
