Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality standards and customer expectationsThis position is responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, analyzing production data, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvementThe Quality Engineer serves as a key liaison between production, engineering, and management to uphold compliance, reduce defects, and enhance overall product reliabilityReview and disposition customer returns daily; ensure timely resolution and documentationDevelop, implement, and sustain quality assurance procedures across manufacturing and assembly operationsLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues, including returned partsPrepare and present monthly PPM reports for both customer and internal metricsConduct regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standardsPerform monthly audits of MQC (Control Plans), Inspection Standards (IS), and FMEAs to ensure accuracy and effectivenessProvide direct customer support through meetings, planning sessions, and documentation managementCollaborate with production teams to support part manufacturing and resolve quality-related issuesAnalyze warranty parts upon request and support Warranty Quality Engineer in issue resolutionCreate inspection standards and address SQPR issues for service partsReport daily Kaizen activities and support continuous improvement initiatives on the plant floorLead daily Strike Team meetings to drive resolution of open quality concernsPartner with engineering and production teams to improve product design, manufacturability, and defect preventionSupport lab testing activities and assist Lab Technician as neededLead Scrap Reduction Team efforts; identify and resolve top scrap drivers in collaboration with productionProactively submit and implement Continuous Improvement ideas to enhance quality and efficiency

1.\tAutomotive industry (Toyota, Nissan, Subaru)2.\tProblem solving skills and tools (5-why, Ishikawa, 8D, Fault tree analysis, etc…)3.\tGood understanding of automotive blueprint reading and interpretation of GD&T symbols4.\tCross-functional team leadership5.\tMetal stamping, rollforming, and assembly6.\tGauge concepts and design, measurement systems analysis (MSA)7.\tArc / Resistance Welding inspection and testing

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
