Quality Engineer

Overview

The Quality  Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by developing and executing effective test strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of both technical testing practices and the business context in which the application operates. By aligning quality assurance efforts with business goals and end-user expectations, the QA Engineer helps ensure that releases are not only functional, but impactful and aligned with real-world usage. This position will have hands-on involvement and requires full knowledge of Scrum and SAFe. You may be asked to provide input on other team members for the performance management process.

You Have (Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceProven experience in software quality assurance and test automationStrong understanding of software testing practices, including manual and automated testingHands-on experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SAFeExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesFamiliarity with test management tools and frameworks

You Will (Responsibilities)Develop, document, and execute test plans and strategies to ensure software quality and reliabilityCollaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define and align testing requirements with business goalsDesign and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to optimize test coverage and efficiencyIdentify, analyze, and track defects; drive issues to resolution in a timely mannerParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies, providing quality assurance insights and feedbackContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process and broader development lifecycleSupport performance management processes by providing input regarding other team members as requested

LocationThree Days a week at a Guardian location in Holmdel, NJ

Salary Range:

$82,770.00 - $135,975.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
