International’s IC Bus Plant is growing, and we’re looking for a Quality Engineer who’s passionate about solving problems, preventing defects, and protecting the customer. In this role, you’ll be a trusted quality partner to manufacturing, engineering, and program team - leading investigations, influencing decisions, and turning data into action. You’ll play a critical role in both day-to-day quality execution and future-focused initiatives, including new product introductions, where proactive risk prevention and disciplined problem-solving are key. The IC Bus Plant runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:00AM – 3:30PM).
This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities Lead investigations into product and process issues, using structured problem-solving to identify root causes and drive lasting solutionsFacilitate cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actionsActively participate in product design reviews and program discussions to surface risks early and ensure they are addressedDevelop, implement, and continuously improve quality methods, procedures, and equipment to strengthen product and process capabilityProvide technical quality expertise to support certification efforts, cost reduction initiatives, and warranty improvementLead PFMEA sessions and process risk assessments for new product introductions, ensuring risks are proactively mitigatedIdentify process vulnerabilities and establish measurement routines for critical parts and characteristicsPromote a preventive, risk-based quality mindset that goes beyond deviation management and aligns with the “Profit and Loss - P&L Way”Monitor, analyze, and communicate key quality metrics, including defect rates and warranty trendsDrive error-proofing strategies and support the deployment of torque strategies for critical jointsPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure robust control plans are developed, implemented, and sustained Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of Engineering, Reliability, or Quality Assurance experience

Master's degree and at least 1 year of Engineering, Reliability, or Quality Assurance experience

At least 5 years of Engineering, Reliability, or Quality Assurance experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
