NuVision Engineering has an immediate opening in our Pittsburgh, PA or Mooresville, NC location for a Quality Engineer to oversee and execute our Quality and EHS Programs for all “nuclear safety” related project requirements.  

Key Responsibilities:

Control and management of our nuclear QA Program, Safety Program, and implementing procedures. Working closely with Project Managers and teams to perform project work efficiently and effectively.   Ensuring contract and code requirements are maintained throughout each project life cycle. This will include industry standards such as: ASME NQA-1 International quality standards ISO-9001-2015 Coordinate with project engineering to determine/communicate customer and regulatory requirements Assist Project Managers and engineering teams with project QA program implantation Create and revise technical procedures which support the QA program Provide quality oversight at vendors and other project sites. Provide auditing and audit support Evaluate quality assurance program effectiveness Review supplier documentation for compliance with purchase order and standard requirements Guide corrective action Analyze customer feedback and make changes

 

Qualifications: 

2+ years of Quality Assurance experience, especially in the nuclear industry or a technical manufacturing environment Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant field Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation  ANSI or ASME Lead Auditor Certification Dimensional inspection skills. Travel Requirements - up to 10% (domestic and international)
