**Job Title: Quality Control Technician** **Job Description** The role of the Quality Control Technician involves eliminating in-process scrap and poor-quality work through line inspection during production runs. This position requires educating operators and set-up technicians about basic inspection tools and knowledge. **Responsibilities** + Review data and revisions on job sheets, prints, and variable sheets. + Compare new and previous 1st Articles to verify data. + Perform 1st Article Inspections. + Check 1-3 parts at random machines in manufacturing departments, including finish, pin measurement, OD/ID, root size, runout, and length of cut. + Perform in-process inspections. + Work flexibly in multiple departments as needed. + Assist with blank inspection from internal blanking and blank suppliers as required. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in quality control and assurance. + Ability to operate vari-roll testing fixtures. + Capability to use optical comparator and precision instruments like micrometers and calipers. + Understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading. + Effective communication skills for training others. + Basic math and geometry skills. + Basic materials knowledge. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. + Skill in creating tooth/space alignment layouts. + Preferred knowledge of gears. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a family-oriented company that has thrived for three generations.
