**Job Title: Quality Control Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, testing, and documenting raw materials, unfinished goods, and finished products at various stages of production and packaging. This role adheres to the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ISO standards, Safe Quality Food (SQF) protocols, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop, maintain, and store inspection reports and retentions for review.
+ Interpret work instructions, product drawings, and product requirements.
+ Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications.
+ Maintain calibration of quality control equipment and perform inspections across all stages of production.
+ Perform Airborne Particulate Testing to validate cleanroom air quality.
+ Conduct testing on products using X-rite, Ruler, Micrometer, Burst Tester, Seal Strength Tester, Peel Strength Tester, Liquid Particulate Testing, TAPPI Chart, and other quality equipment.
+ Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any deviations from existing standards.
+ Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly.
+ Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
+ Perform other duties as directed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Solid understanding of test equipment such as micrometers, seal testers, Lighthouse 3016, LPS testers, and X-rite.
+ Strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
+ Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
+ Ability to analyze and interpret information.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Quality experience and basic math skills are a must.
+ Experience with micrometers is required.
+ Experience with seal testers and X-rite is a plus.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a cleanroom environment with areas housing larger presses. The schedule is a 2nd shift from 5pm to 5:30am, rotating with no work on Sundays.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
