**Job Title: Quality Control Technician** **Job Description** This role involves working under general supervision to prepare truck bodies and other miscellaneous parts for the painting process. The position also includes assisting with sandblasting and other related tasks as required. **Responsibilities** + Locate and remove imperfections on panels prior to painting. + Prepare vehicle surfaces for minor damage repairs using plastic or liquid filler, caulking, and preparing surfaces to be paint-ready. + Apply paper and masking tape to protect unpainted surfaces, such as bumpers, windows, chrome trim, and other parts while surrounding areas are spray-painted. + Use tape, paper, and plastic bags to prevent overspray and ensure paint does not cover areas that do not require painting. + Smooth unmasked surfaces with sandpaper to remove gloss from previous coats of paint. + Sand rough spots and imperfections. + Remove masking tape and clean the vehicle after the truck body is painted. + Move body or vehicle to designated area for buffing as required. + Maintain high attention to detail to ensure the job is completed on time and correctly, eliminating reworks or additional labor. + Work overtime as required by business needs, including occasional Saturdays. **Essential Skills** + Quality control + General production + Sandblasting + Paint preparation + Hand tool operation + Industrial painting + Quality inspection + Quality assurance + Inspection + General labor + Assembly + Automotive repair + Automotive service + Automotive parts handling **Work Environment** The position is based in a manufacturing environment, which requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work with various industrial equipment and tools. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of McClellan Park, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $43680.00/yr.
