We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee contractors, collaborate with clients, and represent our client in verifying plans and coordinating a comprehensive quality control program. This role involves proficient plan preparation and is crucial for a project at a VA Hospital in Marion, IL.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP).Develop activity hazard analyses for drilling, well construction, and excavation activities.Conduct daily safety 'tailgate meetings' and enforce personal protective equipment requirements.Conduct inspections to ensure that field operations are conducted in accordance with the APP, OSHA regulations, and subcontract specifications.Essential SkillsProficiency in construction management and site safety.Experience with SSHO, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (completed within the last 5 years).Knowledge of federal construction and safety compliance.Additional Skills & Qualifications7+ years of construction safety experience or a Safety & Health degree plus 5+ years of construction safety experience.Current professional safety certification preferred.Ability to meet all OSHA and USACE safety training requirements.Work EnvironmentThis position is based at the VA Medical Center – SPS Project in Chicago, IL. It involves a unique 'triple-hat' role encompassing SSHO, Quality Control, and Superintendent responsibilities. The project is governed by specifications shared under open roles.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.07/hr.
