Provide leadership and ensure the full functionality of the Quality Control (QC) department. Establish clarity of expectations and achieve departmental targets by leading through performance planning, ongoing feedback, and support to associates in their duties, along with recognition activities.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish, communicate, and measure performance against objectives.Ensure policies and procedures are developed, implemented, disseminated, and followed.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement new methods, elements, or processes to enhance the quality assurance and management systems, ensuring compliance with certifications such as ISO and CCC.Strengthen the quality assurance system by monitoring and tracking quality and product performance, and analyzing market, customer, and in-house results.Evaluate and address budgetary concerns.Oversee customer complaints, ensuring timely problem-solving and cost-effectiveness.Improve operations by reviewing and reporting reasons for suppliers’ decline or improvement in ratings.Regularly communicate with top management to ensure low customer complaints and enhance suppliers' ability to create quality products at reasonable prices.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.8 years of quality control experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.2 years of supervisory experience.Demonstrated knowledge of quality control techniques and processes.Knowledge of ASQC.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompetent user of Microsoft Office Products.Demonstrated analytical skills.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.Work EnvironmentThe role requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs. It involves working in a general office environment for five hours per day and a manufacturing environment for three hours per day. Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training. The position may require unplanned and unscheduled overtime to meet customer deadlines and requirements.
