As a Quality Inspector, you will perform essential inspections on mechanical, electrical, or structural components to ensure spacecraft systems meet quality requirements. This role is based on-site at the Deployable Operating Unit in Goleta, CA.
ResponsibilitiesInspect in-process and completed products using predetermined methods and specifications.Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on spacecraft components.Utilize measuring devices like calipers, micrometers, comparators, pin gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.Make decisions on the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.Conduct tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies.Accept, reject, or rework defective units or systems.Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED.At least 2 years of education or direct experience in quality assurance or inspection.Experience with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, gages, and pin gages.Knowledge of GD&T and ability to read and comprehend control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, and specifications.US Citizenship required.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong computer skills.Good written and oral communication skills.Experience in team environments to solve problems and balance workloads.Experience in aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
