**Job Title: Quality Control Inspector**

We are looking for a Quality Inspector 1 who will perform required inspections on mechanical, electrical, or structural components to ensure conformance with quality requirements for spacecraft components at our Deployables Operating Unit in Goleta, CA.
**Responsibilities**
+ Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products.
+ Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on spacecraft components.
+ Utilize measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, pin gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.
+ Make decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.
+ Inspect and perform tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to spacecraft components and sub-assemblies.
+ Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
+ Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education or direct experience in quality assurance or inspection.
+ Experience utilizing various measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools.
+ Knowledge of GD&T with the ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications, and related criteria.
+ US Citizenship required.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Strong computer skills.
+ Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results.
+ Experience working in a team environment to solve problems and balance workloads.
+ Experience in aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goleta, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
