Quality Control Administrator
**Job Title: Quality Control Administrator** Job Description The Quality Control Administrator plays a crucial role in technical document management and general project support for the Quality Control and Engineering departments. This position is responsible for unifying the look, format, and storage of documentation. You will report to the Quality Control Supervisor, supporting the team along with Quality Assurance personnel, serving as the QMS subject matter expert and managing ISO 9001. Responsibilities · Create final document packages, submittals, and IOM manuals for end-users. This requires Interfacing with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Designers and subject-matter experts to gather information, identify relevant data and audiences, and write documents that are clear and user friendly. · Create and maintain a document management system to track and modify document numbers, revisions, transmittal dates, received dates, and approval status. · Prepare document transmittal packages, organize and file return comments from customers and suppliers. · Review/control project documentation according to customer specs and internal requirements, interfacing with customer document management systems if necessary. · Create and modify technical forms in support of project engineering department. · Create, modify, and mark-up .pdf files. · File documents electronically in the correct server filing locations, securing important and/or confidential documents accordingly. · Provide admin support on assigned customer projects. · Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills · Associate’s degree or higher (in a technical discipline is a plus) · 2+ years of technical writing experience · 2+ years of experience with technical document management and filing systems. · Strong knowledge of MS Office including document linking and embedding (OLE) with emphasis on use of Excel and Word. · Superb written communication skills and proof reading skills, with a keen eye for detail. · Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines · Familiarity with drawings and BOM structure preferred. · Experience at an Engineering office is a plus. · Working knowledge of CAD software + (AutoCAD Inventor) and/or CAD viewers is a plus. Work Environment This position requires working from 6 AM to 2:30 PM if they are working 8 hour shifts but the schedule fluctuates depending on production needs so you could also be working 10 or 12 hour shifts. The days working can also change, it'll always be Monday-Friday but sometimes Saturdays or even Sundays may be required. The role is based in a manufacturing environment where you must be able to stand on your feet all day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
