I. Job SummaryWith limited supervision, this role performs a variety of quality billing functions and related activities to support the Billing and Vendor Payables teams. Conducts various duties and responsibilities within the Quality Billing Team to develop new skills and learn new areas of the business while helping to provide the best customer experience. Interns gain practical experience, relevant to their field of study, prior to college graduation.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Develop process automation tools and processes using Python, SQL, VBA, API’s and other tools as needed.Enhance and maintain existing Python programs and other tools as needed.Work with stakeholders to uncover all requirements and develop iteratively towards a user accepted product.Develop tools that are easy to maintain and enhance over time.Address and find solutions to bugs and issues in Python programs, SQL queries, etc. in a timely manner.Write documentation for new and existing process automation tools and processes.Assists in uncovering issues, evaluates various courses of action, and promotes the best option for resolution.Tracks issues to resolution within department and in partnership with other groups. Monitors overall workflow to ensure timely completion of projects and daily work requirements.Assists with special projects within assigned department or as part of cross-functional teams as required or assigned. Works as part of a team to determine areas of risk as new or changed processes are implemented.Able to use a standard process to develop quality software from requirements to deployment. Use tracking software to log progress during each step.Participates in special projects as assigned or needed.Education: Interns must have a High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (accredited) in a field of study relevant to the internship (Computer Science or Similar).Experience: No prior work experience required.III. Normal setting for this job is: Remote Role; This position is a year-round role - 40 hours in summer for training and 15-20 hours during the school year.
The expected salary range for this position is $16-$19.50/hour. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
