Quality Assurance Technician
Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will perform daily inspections of production lines to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company standards. You will document inspection details accurately on the Daily Inspection Report (DIR), covering aspects such as lot numbers, fill weights, and defects. You will ensure manufacturing specifications for components, labeling, and products are correct and complete. Additionally, you will inspect work areas for readiness, monitor in-process products for quality, and determine the final disposition of inspected products.

ResponsibilitiesConduct daily inspections of production lines, ensuring compliance with GMPs and company standards.Accurately document inspection information on the Daily Inspection Report (DIR).Verify readiness of work areas prior to use (Line Clearance).Monitor, sample, and inspect in-process finished products for quality through appropriate tests.Collect data and samples to support the disposition of products.Identify and notify Production and Quality teams of any discrepancies from procedures and specifications.Perform AQL inspections and execute rework protocols as required.Initiate and log LIMS and retain samples.Print specifications from ERP systems, create shop order packages, and provide them to Production.Collect and ship samples as required by customers or PDI specifications.Execute trials and validations and review documentation for accuracy prior to QA Release team submission.Act as Lead QA Inspector in the absence of the supervisor to ensure proper coverage of the production floor.Identify continuous improvement opportunities and promote a culture of quality.Handle additional assignments to establish and maintain product quality.Conduct required testing as per SOPs and WIs.Essential SkillsMinimum 3+ years of experience in a regulated environment, preferably in manufacturing or quality assurance roles.Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and quality systems.Working knowledge of AQL inspection standards and in-process quality control methods.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn quality-related systems such as LIMS and ERP.Demonstrated experience in in-process quality inspections, line clearances, material disposition, and documentation review.Excellent documentation accuracy and attention to detail.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s Degree in a scientific, technical, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience supporting trials, validations, rework activities, and sample collection.Prior exposure to continuous improvement and deviation identification.Ability to interpret and follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and Master Batch Records.Solid organizational and multitasking skills.Leadership skills and ability to take initiative and support a quality-focused culture.Work Environment

The Quality Assurance Technician will work on the 2nd shift, from Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11:30pm, with the potential for overtime approximately every other Saturday. The role involves working within a team of eight and reporting to the Shift Supervisor. The technician will collaborate closely with manufacturing, production, and laboratory teams to ensure that products meet required quality, regulatory, and customer standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
