**Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming raw materials, performing pre-operation inspections, and conducting various quality checks throughout the production process.
**Pay: $20 - $27/hr (based on experience)**
**Shift: 3rd shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am, Monday - Friday**

**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect incoming raw materials for proper labeling, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
+ Perform Pre-Op Inspections to ensure food safety before production begins.
+ Conduct metal detector tests at the start, during, and end of production runs to ensure proper functioning of Critical Control Points (CCP), and document these checks.
+ Oversee production changeovers to ensure correct setup of machinery, packaging, check weighers, and UPC readers.
+ Perform quality inspections of finished products, testing moisture content, measurements, and color against specifications.
+ Document instances of rejected products or raw material issues, and report them to the QA Manager or Plant Manager.
+ Assist in investigating customer complaints or problems related to rejected or non-conforming products.
+ Report discrepancies or problems promptly to management.
+ Perform equipment calibration testing as needed.
+ Supervise cleaning crews to ensure daily cleanliness of the plant.
+ Ensure compliance with the Global Standard for Food Safety.
+ Fill in for the QA Supervisor when necessary.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in quality assurance and quality control.
+ Proficiency in inspection and visual inspection techniques.
+ Strong documentation skills.
+ Experience in food manufacturing and quality assurance processes.
+ Bilingual skills (Spanish speaking) are a plus.
+ Ability to work with and manage different personalities.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hingham, Massachusetts.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
