**Quality Assurance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Inspection Technician is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections and tests to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. This role involves using various inspection tools and equipment, documenting results, identifying non-conformances, and working closely with production and quality teams to support continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections and tests, including inspection of intricate castings, components, instruments, apparatus, and large machinery to ensure conformance with design specifications and industry standards.
+ Aid in the development of inspection instructions, requirements, gages, devices, procedures, and monitor their application.
+ Create and maintain CMM programs.
+ Perform calibration, CMM inspection, surface plate inspection layouts, and other material and process analysis as needed.
+ Participate in quality improvement activities such as root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action.
+ Execute department lead duties as required.
+ Conduct inspection and calibration activities at an acceptable rate.
+ Maintain an acceptable attendance record, work record, and acquire necessary tools for the classification.
+ Perform training activities as required.
+ Report defective materials or questionable conditions per established processes.
+ Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
+ Perform light preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties for areas and equipment in the assigned work center.
+ Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
+ Perform other related duties as deemed necessary by supervision or management.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to work independently and solve problems without assistance.
+ Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Proven mechanical, clerical, and mathematical abilities for safe equipment operation and data recording.
+ Adherence to standardized safety policies and operating practices.
+ Thorough knowledge and understanding of CMM programming and operation.
+ Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
+ General understanding of electrical and/or mechanical principles, gage use, and inspection techniques.
+ Ability to adhere to quality standards and perform basic inspections using various measurement gages and testing equipment.
+ Experience with basic mechanical principles, testing procedures, and basic hydraulics.
+ High School Diploma or GED, with above average mechanical ability.
+ Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and company and industry-specific specifications.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word.
+ Experience with MRP/ERP software.
+ Effective verbal and written communication with coworkers, supervision, and management.
+ Ability to meet physical demands, with or without accommodation.
+ Flexibility to work any assigned shift.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Specialized knowledge of the specific type of products and processes being manufactured.
+ High degree of sound judgment.
+ Ability to read, comprehend, and follow processes, procedures, and policies.
**Work Environment**
Work may be performed in a non-air-conditioned shop environment, with exposure to noise, dust, odors, and fumes. Tasks may require standing for the entire shift, bending, and stooping. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment like hoists, pallet jacks, and fork trucks is necessary. Must be able to lift, push, and pull materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Fremont, Nebraska.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $43600.00 - $54000.00/yr.
