**Who we are** By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud. This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life. **What you'll be doing** + Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with European Commission (EC) standards and best practices. + Establish and maintain quality control processes to detect and address defects and deviations throughout the delivery lifecycle. + Continuously assess and refine existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement areas, implement corrective actions, and monitor their impact. + Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in IT systems and processes. + Develop and integrate risk mitigation strategies into project planning and execution. + Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to evaluate project success. + Generate regular reports for management, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. + Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with TAXUD policies, EC/industry standards, and regulatory requirements. + Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address findings and implement corrective measures. + Design and deliver training programs to promote awareness of quality standards and best practices. + Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across IT teams. + Evaluate and monitor the quality of deliverables from external service providers to ensure alignment with project expectations. **What you'll bring along** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. + Minimum 10 years of experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Certifications such as Certified Quality Manager or Six Sigma are highly desirable. + Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive quality initiatives within project timelines. + Exceptional analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues. Ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems. + Excellent communication skills to convey quality requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative mindset to work effectively with diverse teams. + Familiarity with IT standards and regulations such as ISO 9001, CMMI, and GDPR. + A proactive approach to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies. + A meticulous eye for detail to uphold the highest standards of quality in IT deliverables. + Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide teams toward achieving quality goals. + Ability to manage shifting priorities, work under pressure, and navigate ambiguity with confidence. + Excellent command of both spoken and written English (any other European language would be a plus). **What’s in it for you** ✔ New beginnings can be a challenge.
