Temp-to-Hire position$17.00 to $24.00 /hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredFirst Shift (Monday through Saturday from 06:00am to 06:00pm)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Collect product samples from steel coil, pipe, and tubing products.Prepare samples accurately to the proper size and condition for various tests.Conduct and evaluate a range of mechanical and chemical tests, including:Mechanical TestingChemical TestingCharpy Impact TestingHardness Testing (Rockwell B & Micro)Metallographic Testing (grain structure, annealing, weld micros)Perform defect evaluations.Operate non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment, including ultrasonic testing and visual inspection tools.*Accurately enter and organize all test results using company-specific systems.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This role operates within a non-climate-controlled industrial shop environment.Quality Assurance Lab Tech Qualifications:
Experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality control role in industrial setting is requiredStrong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and evaluations.Proficiency in data entry and basic computer systems.Previous experience or coursework in Quality Assurance principles preferredFamiliarity with steel manufacturing processes and terminology preferredApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
