Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met on all materials coming into the warehouse and all products going to customers: while following safety rules, meeting productivity standards and achieving attendance requirements.

Major Activities

1. Samples & Materials  

Assist in reviewing and approving all master control samples and pre-shipment samples from internal and external suppliers to identify nonconformity to quality standards. Determine whether nonconforming materials are widespread or isolated.Ensure that substandard moulding is pulled, isolated, and logged.Participate in sourcing team and staff meetings.Build and maintain good business relationships with suppliers and vendors. Report / Communicate issues with Domestic suppliers and vendors.Cross-train for other positions and provide support to other production teams or functions, as needed.Support Inventory and Out of Stock levels.Assign Bins for New Items. Pool and isolate discontinued items, receive and communicate credit. Planning and Execution of POG changes. 

2. Quality  

Provide direction to manufacturing, vendors, QAC team regarding quality and customer service issues.Communicate with entire QAC Team throughout all of Artistree. Engage full team with quality accountability including training and metric measurement/improvement to include all KPI’s such as Recuts and Yield Improvement. Communicate findings to staff to include GM, Managers, Supervisors all issues and resolutions to control needed results.Actively support training for all Team Members in Quality Standards and expectations. Maintain and ensure accuracy of data and provide updates to team members.Notify supplier immediately of non-conformity and alert appropriate team members.Maintain master control samples in a clean and protected environment.Oversee Quality in house projects such as Corner Samples, large orders and B2B.Lead and advise the Quality segment of the SQET initiative emphasizing needs to maintain acceptable Quality Goals.Oversee and support Shipping Quality Standards for all products from Plant to Store.

3. Safety & Organization  

Maintain a clean work area for safe and efficient operation, including replenishment of supplies.Follows all company safety policies, including use of appropriate safety equipment, as needed.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

1 year Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; convey and receive information effectively.General, verbal, and numerical intelligence.Detail-oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy.Keen sense of urgency.Strong verbal communication and interpersonal, skills including coaching, collaboration, and the ability to provide constructive feedback.  Ability to critically analyze problems and develop effective solutions.

Physical Requirements

Ability to frequently sit and occasionally walk and stand.  Ability to frequently bend.Ability to frequently push and pull using upper extremities.Ability to constantly lift and carry up to 30lbs/13.6 kgs from floor to above shoulders and constantly reach horizontally and overhead.  Ability to constantly grasp and carry with both hands.Review physical requirements matrix for all requirements.

Work Environment

Ability to work with high noise levels and work around moving machinery.  Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment which is subject to dust and high/low temperatures. Ability to work safely in a fast pace manufacturing environment.

Total Base Pay Range for this Position:

$19.00 - $23.80
