SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the accuracy, reliability, and quality of accounting and retail automation software systems. This position focuses on performing Quality Assurance (QA) analysis, assisting in testing efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software changes meet operational and business requirements. The Quality Assurance Analyst will work under the guidance of senior team members, troubleshooting issues, executing test scripts, and maintaining thorough documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform Quality Assurance (QA) analysis on Point of Sale (POS), Loyalty, and Accounting software systems to ensure data integrity and system balancing.Assist in supporting POS-related projects for Accounting software implementations, including testing and documentation, ensuring transactions are correctly polled to the Accounting software.Develop and execute complex test scripts to validate software functionality, ensuring compliance with business and operational requirements.Identify, test, and document issues related to balancing across systems. Collaborate with internal and external developers to understand root causes and support resolution development.Conduct research to troubleshoot and resolve software and system issues as directed by management.Monitor, troubleshoot, correct and/or report issues with daily paperwork reporting, polling and processes.Work SNOW assignments with team members, use technical skills to troubleshoot and solve issues with polling and other related problems.Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support system updates and enhancements.Perform other duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, accounting or a related field an asset.Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with various functions across the organization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.Experience analyzing data within high transaction volume environments preferred.Familiarity with project management principles to support task prioritization and timeline adherence.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn company-specific applications.Experience with PDI systems is a plus.SKILLS REQUIRED:
Basic understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies and best practices.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively with supervision.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Flexibility to adapt to changes and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
