**Job Title: Quality Assurance** **Job Description** As a Quality Assurance professional, you will be responsible for inspecting structural steel parts and assemblies during both pre-fabrication and post-fabrication stages. You will maintain formal documentation of all quality occurrences to support improvement, training, and the overall betterment of the company. You will also perform housekeeping responsibilities and implement the 5S organizational methodology. Additionally, you will mark products with identification and appropriate visual markings per Quality Control documentation. **Responsibilities** + Conduct and document pre-fabrication and post-fabrication inspections. + Perform shop drawing corrections, tape measure calibration, mill tester calibration, and stud welding tests. + Inform management of any nonconformity of products or equipment issues. + Work closely with management and production personnel to ensure all Quality Control duties are performed and product quality is met or exceeded. + Support safety and production programs. **Essential Skills** + Quality control expertise + Experience with pre-fabrication and post-fabrication inspections + Ability to perform shop drawing corrections + Experience in tape measure and mill tester calibration + Proficiency in conducting stud welding tests + Attention to detail + Strong communication skills + Flexibility and professionalism + Teamwork **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2+ years in the structural steel industry or related welding/fabrication industry + Basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel + Physical ability to walk, stand for extended periods, lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs, crawl, climb a ladder, and work long hours + Long-term goal to become proficient in AWS D1.1 welding standards and master Quality Control documentation **Why Work Here?** Join a 100% employee-owned company where each member has a vested interest in the success of the organization. The facility is new but can be dirty due to the nature of the work. The work schedule is flexible, starting at 7am with varying hours, and most Fridays ending around 2pm. Candidates must be flexible with their schedule and willing to work long hours. The position requires reporting to a supervisor at a steel plant off Army Post Road. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
