Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Automation Engineer with a strong background in building robust test automation solutions for OTT and web applications across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will not only bring deep automation expertise but also demonstrate flexibility and a hands-on approach by supporting manual testing when necessary. This is a cross-functional role that supports both US and International Market applications and involves working closely with multiple QA teams across time zones. Design and review testcases with the territory (US and International Markets) expertise and be able to use your own initiative to automate the current test pack for testing integrated applications Shift - 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM Shift

Job Description

Create robust and scalable automated test suites to be run within a continuous integration workflow and in local development environmentsUnderstand the proposition and use your expertise in coming up with ‘out of the box’ scenarios using the current territory (US and International Markets) knowledge.Create automated release test verification (per platform) of OTT devices against new features, and regressionWrite and maintain common test libraries, utilities in Java/JavaScript/Python test frameworksParticipate in Agile ceremoniesSupport remote team issues’, triage process and potential defects, and understand prioritization of work assignmentsCollaborate, support and communicate with multiple Quality Engineering teams across multiple time zonesManage the creation, updates and status of issues detected during the test execution phaseCreate Automated Test Execution reports to be shared with Stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)2+ years hands on experience with Automation Frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, Test NG, WebDriver etc.Excellent programming skills in JavaScript or similar scripting languages (Java, Python)Experienced in TDD and BDD2+ years in a full stack engineer capacity (comfortable building UIs and APIs)Experience with Integration testing and CI environments such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ConcourseKnowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related testing toolsExperienced in website support and dynamic content testing for web applicationsFamiliarity with agile development methodologies and SDLC, especially with web, mobile, connected device and OTT applicationsFamiliarity with current popular Connected Device/OTT (tvOS/Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox One, PS4, etc.)Experience with testing and automating REST APIs and experienced on tools like POSTMAN, SOAPUI etc.Experience with Charles proxy, Splunk or similar logging tools and native server loggingFamiliarity with applications supporting video/media playbackExperience with building test plans and coordinating QA/UAT with functional teamsAbility to adapt/adopt new technology and solutions easilyGood understanding of networking, SSL, firewalls, CDN, DRMMust be able to learn and understand End to End Systems Workflows

Experience with Docker for containerization and orchestrationHave prior experience with desktop, mobile and connected device and OTT development or supportAbility to self-start, self-manage, meet deadlines, and learn from mistakes.Mobile Device Automation using (Browser Stack, Appium, Espresso)Understanding of DevOps principlesHave a passion for digital media platforms and entertainment industries.Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesFamiliarity with basic product support a plusHighly organized and able to prioritize and track multiple deliverable and projects.
