The QS (Finishes) evaluates contractor claims, manages procurement-related cost aspects, and supports value engineering initiatives. Close coordination with project managers, design teams, and contractors is required to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and high-quality delivery of commercial, residential, or fit-out projects.Job Description
About the Role:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and take-offs for finishes, including flooring, ceiling, partitions, wall finishes, joinery, and specialty worksMonitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring budget compliance and financial accuracyReview design drawings, specifications, and material schedules to assess cost implications of finishes worksAssist in procurement of finishes materials, liaising with vendors and suppliers for quotations and cost optimizationEvaluate contractor/subcontractor claims, variations, and invoices related to finishes worksConduct value engineering exercises to optimize design and material costs without compromising qualityTrack and report cost performance, including cost forecasts, monthly reports, and financial summariesEnsure compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and statutory requirements for finishesSupport project team in contract administration, risk assessment, and dispute resolution related to finishes worksCollaborate closely with project managers, design teams, and site engineers to ensure smooth execution of finishes packagesPrepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and take-offs for finishes, including flooring, ceiling, partitions, wall finishes, joinery, and specialty worksMonitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring budget compliance and financial accuracyAbout You:
Diploma/ B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Architecture8 to 12 years & above of relevant experience in finishes and interior quantity surveying, billing, and cost management for commercial, residential, or large scale projectsShould have handled at least 3-5 large-scale projects covering full finishes scope (flooring, ceilings, partitions, wall finishes, joinery, and specialty works)Experience with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or Cost Consultancy preferredStrong technical and commercial knowledge of finishes materials, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and contract administrationProficiency in measurement verification, variation assessment, and cost tracking aligned with project budgetsExcellent analytical, documentation, and coordination skills with high attention to accuracy and detailEffective communication, stakeholder coordination, and teamwork abilitiesWhy join Cushman & Wakefield?
