QC Sample Management
Job Title: QC Sample Management TechnicianJob Description The QC Sample Management Technician will be an integral part of a team dedicated to supporting QC sampling operations. This position involves the pickup and transport of GMP manufacturing samples to various storage locations within QC. Responsibilities include sub-aliquoting bulk samples, using LIMS systems for sample management, and working closely with the QC Laboratory Support team. Responsibilities + Pickup and transport samples from manufacturing areas to quality control testing/storage areas. + Report sample issues to appropriate management as required per procedures. + Receive samples into analytical and microbiology laboratories and manage storage in QC Sample Management units. + Handle incoming and outgoing sample shipments. + Work in a biological safety cabinet with gowning for sub-aliquoting bulk samples. + Login samples to LIMS system, properly label aliquots, and ensure final storage as required. + Communicate status of samples to cross-functional teams accurately. + Assist in managing the team's inventory supplies stock. + Maintain up-to-date training records and effectively train department employees. + Perform duties in strict compliance with SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, and safety guidelines. + Possibly author Sample Management documents in electronic document management system. + Investigate and complete minor sample management deviations. + Support additional laboratory duties to meet departmental goals. Essential Skills + Quality assurance + Quality control + Sample preparation + Sample management + Lab preparation Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma + 3 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing facility, preferably in sample management operations. + Experience in a cGMP Quality Control laboratory is a plus. + Experience with sample labeling systems and inventory management systems is a plus. + Working knowledge of GMP regulations in a GMP environment. + Knowledge of cGMP practices and aseptic techniques. Work Environment The position follows a rotating Monday-Friday shift, either from 6am-2:30pm or 8am-4:30pm. Training will initially be on a Monday-Friday day shift for approximately 60 days. After training, the schedule will be Wednesday-Saturday, 10-hour day shifts from 5:30AM to 4PM. The role requires comfort in working with computers, systems, software, and Excel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
