QC Microbiology Lab & Environmental Monitoring Specialist

 

We are looking for a QC Microbio & EM Specialist who is analytical, reliable, and proactive to join our Quality Control team, based at our UCB campus in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.

 

About the role

You are going to play a key role in supporting investigations related to microbiology and environmental monitoring activities, including clean utilities, bioburden, endotoxins, sterility samples, and more.

You will act as the point of contact for stakeholders during microbial contamination events and help ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Who you will work with

You will report to the Head of the Microbiology Lab & Environmental Monitoring, and collaborate closely with Lab and Production Team Leaders, Technicians, and QA colleagues.

What you will doLead and follow up on deviations and investigations in microbiology and environmental monitoringWrite investigation reports and update laboratory documentationSupport product launches and prepare regulatory documentationEnsure compliance with procedures and implement corrective and preventive actionsCommunicate priorities and urgencies within the lab team to adjust planningAssist in drafting documents for projects and change controlsInterested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skillsMaster’s degree in a relevant fieldMinimum 3 years of Pharmaceutical experienceExperience in deviation management and microbiology/environmental monitoringKnowledge of endotoxins and sterility testing is an assetFluent in French and EnglishStrong time management, communication, and teamwork skills
