Job Title: Analytical ChemistJob Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting release and in-process testing, testing materials, and finished products. You will work with various laboratory instruments, including UV, KF, HPLC, FTIR, and more. This position requires strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret chromatography data and perform complex calculations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform release and in-process testing for materials and finished products.
+ Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and KF.
+ Interpret and manage chromatography data using systems like Chemstation or Chromeleon.
+ Conduct and document all GMP activities accurately and legibly.
+ Execute wet and analytical chemistry tasks for raw materials, intermediates, and API products.
+ Review data calculations for validations and perform necessary calculations.
+ Prepare and standardize volumetric solutions.
+ Assess if materials meet specifications for release.
+ Provide documentation responses for customer complaints or returns.
+ Write procedures, test methods, protocols, reports, and material specifications.
+ Support consistent compliance with internal and regulatory procedures through training and guidance.
+ Meet deadlines as provided by management.
+ Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory instrumentation.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and KF.
+ Strong understanding of analytical chemistry and GMP practices.
+ Ability to interpret and review analytical data accurately.
+ Excellent documentation skills for GMP activities.
+ Experience in performing and reviewing critical and complex calculations.
+ Capability to write detailed procedures and test methods.
+ 3-5 years of experience as a chemist in the industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ BS Degree in the Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology).
+ Experience with a data management system, such as Chemstation or Chromeleon, is a plus.
+ Experience with HPLC and GC.
+ Proficiency in Excel with at least 2 years of experience.
Work Environment
You will be working in a quality laboratory within an API/F&F/Specialty Chemical company. The role includes occasional visits to the manufacturing floor. The position is for the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3 PM to 11 PM, with training on the first shift. Training duration is a minimum of 6 weeks, depending on skills. You will be the only chemist/laboratory personnel on duty during this shift, with plans to eventually expand to a 24/7 operation. The facility is currently expanding to enhance API manufacturing capabilities and improve laboratory quality. Annual pay raises are based on performance, with an average increase of 4% of salary yearly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Francis, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
