And that starts with finding the right talent to help us get there. **Position Overview** The role of the Automation Engineer will work with manual QA testers and setup the automation framework, building new test frameworks, writing and designing automation scripts from scratch and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure quality control standards are achieved. We need a QA Automation Engineer who is successful in growing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions to maximize testing coverage and reduce test cycle time. This will require cross coordination between multiple teams.This role will also provide direction for implementing best practices to determine optimum solutions. **Responsibilities** + Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts to meet software release deliverables, project testing requirements and other quality considerations + Define test data conditions and partners and works closely with Data team to obtain the data. + Actively engage in defect reporting and triaging + Responsible for creating data portability functions. Create data necessary for the scripts based on the functionality + Responsible for developing smoke, functional and regression test suites for GUI Front End, and Database backend + Document, maintain, and monitor software problems + Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes + Maintain well organized records of test results and generate historical analysis of test results + As a member of the scrum team, closely interact with both onsite and offshore team members. The onsite and offshore interactions include scrum team members (Scrum masters, developers, Product Owners and QA at onsite and offshore) **Qualifications** + 2-3 years of test automation experience + Solid understanding of Quality Assurance methods and practices + Deep understanding of manual and automated testing concepts + Experience in automating APIs + Experience in Selenium + Hands-on experience with a mix of modern Test Automation tools and frame works, (e.g. Selenium using Java or Java Script and HP Unified Functional Automated Testing tools) + Experience in Java OR C# development to support new testing framework + Advanced SQL knowledge is a plus + Experience with UI testing frameworks + Hands on using Continuous Integration tools + Exposure to performance testing and knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus + Strong communication skills **Required Experience & Education:** + Bachelor's degree equivalent in Computer Science, equivalent preferred. + At-least 2-3 years of experience in automation engineering. **Location & Hours of Work** **Equal Opportunity Statement** _Evernorth is an Equal Opportunity Employer actively encouraging and supporting organization-wide involvement of staff in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to educate, inform and advance both internal practices and external work with diverse client populations._ Confidential, unpublished property of The Cigna Group.
