Qa/qc Technician
**Hiring Quality Assurance Technician to Join Our Team in Lafayette** **Job Description** The Quality Assurance Technician plays a pivotal role on the production floor, serving as the Quality Representative and conducting essential quality activities that support the company's programs and policies. This role focuses on sample collection from incoming goods, in-process products, and finished products, as well as testing and swabbing manufacturing machines and bottling lines. Additionally, the technician will send analyses to the biology team and may contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), or special projects. **Responsibilities** + Conduct raw material, in-process product, and finished goods sampling. + Perform incoming receipt inspections. + Test raw and finished products to ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and customer specifications. + Submit samples to appropriate labs for analysis and coordinate with third-party labs to maintain lead times. + Perform physical analyses and lab tests using defined methods and specifications. + Perform line clearance activities for manufacturing operations. + Manage label control and reconciliation activities. + Maintain retain sample inventory. + Receive incoming samples from other departments and prepare them for analysis. + Create accurate records according to established policies and procedures. + Assist with raw material specification evaluation, releases, holds, and disposition decisions. + Perform verification system checks to ensure sanitation and quality systems are on track. + Conduct internal plant GMP audits and correct findings. **Essential Skills** + Experience in quality assurance and QC testing. + Ability to conduct raw material, in-process, and finished good sampling. + Skill in conducting incoming receipt inspections and product testing. + Proficiency in submitting samples to labs and coordinating analysis. + Competence in performing physical analyses and lab tests using specified methods. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Capability to perform line clearance activities. + Skill in label control and reconciliation. + Experience in maintaining sample inventory. + Knowledge of raw material specification evaluation and disposition decisions. + Ability to ensure product segregation and labeling based on quality status. **Why Work Here?** This long-term role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team in a supportive environment.
