This position will lead the Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QA / QC) function for Projects & Construction (P&C) and Electric Operations line of businesses of the Utility. This position may also support the other lines of businesses in the Utility including Gas Operations, Asset Management & Centralized Services and Customer Operations. This position is responsible for the development and execution of QA / QC. This independent group within the organization helps to ensure that all Corporate and Department Policy and Procedures related to the execution of T&D construction projects, operations and other departmental work activities are appropriately followed and executed. The QA/ QC Manager will develop and execute annual self- assessment plans, i.e., identification of activity needed, schedule for each activity and resource scheduling. The QA / QC Manager will also direct activity as needed to ensure the prudent use of Company resources. This activity will also serve to avoid / reduce regulatory risks regarding prudent use of ratepayer dollars. The plan will be reviewed and approved by the Manager QA / QC & Performance Measurement as well as the department Director. **Job Responsibilities** + The positions responsbilities include a combination of office and field activities. The field component includes verification that installation specifications for civil, mechanical, and/or electrical systems, components, and/or materials have been followed; field surveillance inspections to ensure vendor compliance with contract requirements, especially the technical specifications, but also includes other field PSE&G / P&C policies and Procedures, including safety and environmental compliance. The “office” work includes verification that procedures related to project initiation, project designs, document control, invoice control, and general schedule and cost control efforts are effectively followed. The QA / QC Manager will lead associates (including associates not in his/her direct supervision) to ensure associates, vendors, and contractors are providing the highest quality for all functional groups and project management processes, and for project workmanship, materials, and equipment. The QA / QC office and field activities will also include assessments of T&D’s core functions as outlined in the Operational Excellence Model. + Must ensure that all approved suggestions to improve the QA / QC environment are successfully completed + Act as the single source in the facilitation of all corporate / external audits and ensure the proper completion of all approved action plans + The QA / QC Manager will facilitate as needed, mitigation and root cause analysis along with lessons learned + This position is also responsible for managing and overseeing all external consulting engagements and ad hoc requests. + As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations. **Job Specific Qualifications** Reqiured: + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and a minimum of six (6) years’ professional accounting or auditing experience + A minimum six (6) years of auditing, accounting or finance experience + Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards + Previous leadership / supervisory experience + Strong working knowledge and experience of computer-based business applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and Access and Visio databases + Knowledge of SAP FI / CO and Materials Management (MM) modules + Strong written and oral communications skills + Because the job requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driver history Preferred / Desired Skills: + MBA or Advanced Degree in Finance, Accounting + CPA, CIA and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification + Experience in Utility operations and construction industry **Minimum Years of Experience** 6 years of experience **Certifications** None Noted **Disclaimer** Certain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information.
