Position OverviewWe are seeking a CMM Programmer & QA Inspector to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining CMM equipment while ensuring that all parts and assemblies meet customer and regulatory quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and experienced in dimensional inspection within aerospace environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS from CATIA models.Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and verify initial production runs against specifications and drawings.Perform dimensional inspections using customer-supplied CAD data, models, and mylars.Write and update procedures, work instructions, and inspection documentation to meet compliance requirements.Train shop personnel on CMM usage, inspection techniques, and quality standards.Collaborate with production teams and customer representatives to address nonconformances and implement corrective actions.Maintain quality system records, reports, and inspection logs.Support in-process, final, and special inspections as needed.Ensure adherence to ISO 9000/AS9100 standards and FAA regulatory requirements.Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 3 years of hands-on CMM programming and operation experience.Strong experience in aerospace manufacturing and inspection.Proficiency with PC-DMIS software.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).Solid math skills, including trigonometry, for dimensional analysis.Familiarity with CNC machining processes and quality assurance practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Preferred QualificationsExperience with CATIA and CAD systems.Knowledge of ISO/FAA compliance, part conformity, and supplier quality development.Skilled in root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and internal auditing.Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with customers and suppliers.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Why Join UsCompetitive hourly pay with growth potential.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) plan with company contributions.Paid time off, parental leave, and disability programs.Tuition reimbursement and career development opportunities.A collaborative aerospace environment where your expertise directly impacts product quality and customer satisfaction.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.43 - $46.58/hr.
