Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual with substantial experience in Kubernetes, containerized environments, and application deployment to join our team. The ideal candidate is a traditional engineer looking to transition into a QA/Test role, with expertise in white box testing and inspecting components such as pods and containers.

Responsibilities

Conduct white box testing and inspect smaller components, pods, and other health inspections.Deploy and assess containerized applications, ensuring deployments are up and healthy.Perform functional testing, including UI inspection and resource utilization analysis.Develop testing strategies and test plans using automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and WebDriverIO.Utilize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.Evaluate performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and resource stress in pods or individual resources.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1 year in pure testing and at least 3 years in a containerized environment.Experience with Kubernetes and Docker, with AWS preferred.Proficiency in Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Strong understanding of test development in a containerized environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

AI experience is a strong advantage.Experience with Postman for API testing.Familiarity with developing for the testing environment.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with the requirement to be on-site in Morrisville, NC on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment, focusing heavily on automation tooling and containerized application deployment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
