The Purchasing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day functions of the Operations side of our organization. ResponsibilitiesGenerate and submit purchase orders, track orders to ensure on-time delivery, and process receiving documents.Resolve receipt and invoice discrepancies and maintain accurate supplier records.Provide weekly open purchase order reports to each line of business and facilitate timely close outs through scheduled meetings.Receive and disperse materials to various lines of business on the Lunenburg site.Run errands for parts and supplies as needed.Organize training materials, maintain safety records, and assist with internal safety audits.Perform data entry, update records, and manage internal communications including memos and emails.Maintain office supplies and ensure a clean, organized workspace.Assist in preparing reports and presentations for various teams.Participate in weekly training to learn scale operator duties and provide coverage during absences.Coordinate with team members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and team activities.Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall office efficiency.Essential Skills2+ years of Purchasing or Procurement Experience.Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Experience with SAP/Oracle or other ERP/CRM systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Independent problem-solving and sound decision-making abilities.Effective conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience in an administrative or office support role.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently.Work EnvironmentThis role requires working 100% on-site, five days per week, reporting to the Strategic Buyer. The company offers a flexible environment for weather or appointments, but applicants should be comfortable working on-site with the team. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
