Purchasing and Inventory Specialist



Aston Carter has partnered with a reputable client in Kansas City, KS, to find a qualified Purchasing and Inventory Specialist.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing and Inventory Specialist to support a dynamic industrial operation. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in purchase order (PO) creation, vendor management, and inventory tracking, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is proficient in Sage 300.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory control processes, conducting cycle counts, and generating metrics and reports to support purchasing decisions and operational efficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with vendors, warehouse teams, and finance to ensure timely procurement, accurate inventory levels, and smooth accounts payable processes. This role will work in the office and the warehouse.

Key Focus Areas:

PO creation and processing using Sage 300Vendor sourcing, negotiation, and relationship managementInventory tracking, discrepancy resolution, and cycle countsData analysis and reporting on purchasing trends and inventory metricsSupport for accounts payable and invoice reconciliation

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
