The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by procuring materials, electrical components, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position is responsible for implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring supply chain efficiency to meet production schedules. A strong background in industrial electrical controls, supplier negotiations, and supply chain processes is essential.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal departments to determine project requirements and coordinate the purchase of all electrical components.Create and issue accurate purchase orders, ensuring correct part numbers, pricing, delivery schedules, and lead times.Track and expedite orders to meet project deadlines; adjust lead times as necessary.Verify and maintain pricing according to procurement standards and project specifications.Maintain accurate records of supplier shipments, invoices, and receipts within the internal system.Assist in the physical receipt and verification of incoming shipments.Provide supporting data and reports to supervisors as requested.Identify and resolve procurement-related issues efficiently.Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and procedures.Maintain a strong working knowledge of industrial electrical controls.
Essential Skills3–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing setting.Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience in supplier management, cost analysis, and contract negotiations.
Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role requires working onsite within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team focused on ensuring efficient procurement processes to support production schedules.
