Job Title: Purchasing Manager

Job Description

The Purchasing Manager will lead procurement efforts across three U.S. facilities, managing both finished goods and raw materials sourced from 60 global suppliers. This role is pivotal in managing high-risk, high-volume categories and plays a crucial role in bridging ERP systems and quality systems. The successful candidate will develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, onboard suppliers, and ensure compliance while maintaining cost-effectiveness. The role requires collaboration across departments and leadership of a tenured, category-specialized team.

Responsibilities

Lead procurement efforts across three U.S. facilities.Manage finished goods and raw materials from 60 global suppliers.Oversee high-risk, high-volume procurement categories.Develop and implement effective procurement strategies.Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effectiveness.Onboard suppliers and ensure compliance.Bridge ERP systems and quality systems for seamless integration.Collaborate across departments.Lead and mentor a tenured, category-specialized team.

Essential Skills

Experience in procurement and supply chain management.Strong negotiation and cost savings analysis skills.Proficiency in vendor management and strategic sourcing.Experience with ERP systems, particularly Infor ERP Syteline.Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.Ability to optimize inventory and manage costs.Experience in supplier onboarding and compliance management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.5+ years in procurement/supply chain, preferably in CPG.Proven track record of cost savings and supplier performance improvement.Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.Certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or experience in quality control.

The role is set in a fast-paced CPG manufacturing environment, requiring cross-functional collaboration with production, finance, and product development teams. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
