Job Description
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Purchase Orders essential for home building. You will update pricing, manage vendor changes, and add or remove items from purchase orders. Running monthly reports, conducting special research projects, and problem-solving to troubleshoot system errors are key aspects of this role. Strong communication skills are essential as you will interact with the Purchasing Assistant team and Divisional Purchasing Departments through internal communication systems, email, and phone.
Responsibilities
+ Create and maintain Purchase Orders for home building.
+ Update pricing, vendor changes, and manage item additions/deletions in Purchase Orders.
+ Run monthly reports and conduct special research projects.
+ Solve problems and troubleshoot errors in systems.
+ Perform typing and 10-key data entry related to purchase orders.
+ Communicate effectively with the Purchasing Assistant team and Divisional Purchasing Departments.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in administrative tasks and data entry.
+ Strong MS Excel skills with at least 1+ year of experience.
+ Critical thinking and analytical skills.
+ Experience with multiple computer programs and screens.
+ Ability to review documentation and analyze reports.
+ Knowledge in purchase order management.

+ Proficiency in 10-key typing and Excel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
