The Purchasing and Planning Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing procurement, production planning, and batching processes. This role requires coordination of the Finished Goods Master Production Plan, ensuring timely availability of materials and supplier deliverables, and supporting smooth production workflows while ensuring compliance with internal departmental requirements and client specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain inventory levels to support production schedules.
+ Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with quality, pricing, and delivery expectations.
+ Develop and manage the Finished Goods Master Production Plan, collaborating with R&D, sales, production, and warehouse teams.
+ Coordinate batching schedules and ensure raw materials are correctly allocated for production.
+ Enter sales orders into the management system and assist in calculating raw material requirements and costs.
+ Create batch numbers, track production schedules, and resolve raw material issues.
+ Maintain accurate records of vendors, inventory, and production orders.
+ Collaborate with departments to communicate stock availability, estimated time of arrival, and production needs.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree in supply chain or related field or comparable work experience.
+ 3+ years of relevant work experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, planning, and inventory control.
+ Strong experience with issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting production schedules.
+ Experience managing vendor relationships and sourcing products.
+ Proficient in systems like QuickBooks/ERP System and Microsoft Excel.
+ Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
+ Great interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal and external customers.
Work Environment
The work environment is an office setting connected to a warehouse/production facility. This role involves regular interaction with multiple departments to ensure smooth production operations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr.
