Job Description
As a Punch Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting up punch press machines. This role requires troubleshooting work orders and products to ensure accuracy and efficiency while assisting others in the department. You will also contribute to training and performance feedback, assist engineering in calculating flat layouts, and manage multiple setups. Quality checks throughout all stages of the process are crucial, along with providing first and last pieces to quality for inspection.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and set up punch press machines efficiently.Troubleshoot work orders and products to maintain accuracy.Assist colleagues in the department and offer training and feedback.Collaborate with engineering to calculate flat layouts.Perform quality checks throughout all stages of production.Provide first and last pieces for quality inspection.Essential SkillsExperience in machine operation and setup.Proficiency in operating punch press, press brake, and troubleshooting.Ability to use calipers and micrometers effectively.Additional Skills & Qualifications6 months to a year of prior machine operation experience in a metal fabrication setting.Knowledge of punch press, brake press, stamping, and drill press operations.Ability to read work orders in English and perform quality checks throughout the process.Why Work Here?

This position is based in a metal stamping company where production takes place. The environment can be louder due to the stamping machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
