Pumps and Motors Technician – Data Center

Our client, a leading organization in critical infrastructure management, is seeking a Pumps and Motors Technician to join their team. As a Pumps and Motors Technician, you will be part of the Critical Environment Operations team supporting data center maintenance and reliability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Pumps and Motors Technician – Data Center (Contract)
**Location:** Onsite – Mount Pleasant, WI
**Contract Length:** 18 months
**Pay Range:** $45-$48/hour + PTO & Benefits
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform diagnostics and corrective maintenance on various pump types (sump, centrifugal, submersible) and motor systems.
+ Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance aligned with global standards for critical AHUs and mechanical systems.
+ Disassemble fan guards and housings for bearing inspections and infrared scans on fan terminals to detect early signs of failure.
+ Apply run-to-fail (R2F) strategies where appropriate, ensuring scheduled testing and visual inspections are completed.
+ Maintain detailed service records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
**What's Needed?**
+ Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with pumps, motors, and Fin Fan systems in critical environments.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical systems, vibration analysis, and thermal scanning techniques.
+ Familiarity with maintenance task codes, warranty protocols, and local regulatory compliance.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
+ Completion of relevant technical certifications or manufacturer training preferred.
