Job Title: Pump Operator
Job Description

The Water Pump Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of water pumping systems to ensure efficient and continuous water supply during testing. This role involves inspecting equipment, recording operational data, and performing routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns during tests. Tests will be completed at warehouses and industrial facilities for their fire system water pumps. The operator must ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor water pumps, valves, and related equipment to regulate water flow and pressure.Inspect pumps, motors, and pipelines for proper functioning and report any malfunctions or irregularities.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.Record operational data such as pressure readings, flow rates, and maintenance activities.Adjust controls to regulate flow rates and pressure levels according to system requirements.Respond to alarms and emergencies, taking corrective action as needed.Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.Collaborate with teams for major repairs or upgrades.Maintain cleanliness and organization of pump stations and work areas.Essential SkillsPrevious experience in water systems, utilities, or mechanical operations.Basic understanding of hydraulics, pump mechanics, and electrical systems.Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical manuals.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience operating pumps/water pumps.Proficiency with hand and power tools.Mechanical aptitude.Why Work Here

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
