Public Safety Liaison Manager

Uberʼs Public Safety team is seeking a Regional Public Safety Liaison for the US/Canada team. This is a highly dynamic, fast-paced role, which includes cross-functional team engagement and crisis response responsibilities. This position will build and foster relationships between Uber and law enforcement officials nationwide.
The role requires flexibility with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities as needed for timely response to critical incidents.
**What You Will Do**
- Manage strategic, operational relationships with law enforcement and industry counterparts and advise across a broad array of emergency and critical investigative categories.
- Collaborate with internal partners to develop a regional strategy to achieve business and public safety goals.
- Query information from various sophisticated data sources, conduct trend analysis, and communicate findings and recommendations to Public Safety leadership, internal partners, and external law enforcement stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain executive/command staff networks to support crisis response and community initiatives supporting business needs.
- Support investigative requests from law enforcement related to complex and critical investigations.
- Work collaboratively to solve regional challenges.
- Operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and maintain a professional disposition under stress and in crisis.
- Advocate for Uber Public Safety to promote Uberʼs commitment to safety, privacy, and transparency.
- Motivate and align the team's scope and purpose with Uberʼs broader vision.
- Occasional travel to coordinate initiatives with external stakeholders.
## **Required Qualifications**
- 8+ years of law enforcement or prosecutorial subject matter expertise gained through law enforcement, prosecution, data protection authorities, and/or private industry.
- Experience partnering and advising law enforcement across a broad array of case categories.
- Investigative and/or crisis response expertise.
- Advanced understanding of U.S. state and federal criminal codes and statutes.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Expert knowledge/experience in technical lines of inquiry, including communications and location data analysis.
- Advanced data/reporting and/or analysis skills to report safety trends to the Public Safety leadership team and internal stakeholders.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects in an exciting, fast-paced environment, both collaborating as a team to stay in sync and working independently to address business needs and public safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative with business leaders and cross-functional partners, and strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others.
- Strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.
- Excellent business judgment and great communication skills.
- Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$142,000 per year - USD$158,000 per year.
