Provider Relations Sr. Manager - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

Candidates who reside within 50 miles of the following locations may be asked to work in person three days per week: Chattanooga, TN, Denver, CO, St Louis, MO, or Scottsdale, AZ.

In order to support the business (CO, UT, WY and NM), we plan to consider candidates from the Mountain, Central or Pacific Markets/Time Zones

Overview  

This position is a high functioning role with management and strategic planning responsibilities of provider services to include medical US Commercial, and IFP. This includes leading a team of focused individuals accountable for the overall provider service model and provider experience by working in collaboration with matrix partners to drive a culture of service excellence. They are responsible for developing and executing on strategic planning solutions that drive providers, customers and product success. This role actively participates in local market planning discussions to strengthen Cigna’s strategic positioning; provides input on progress and makes recommendations for improving provider, sales and employee outcomes.

Responsibilities  

Direct supervision to a diverse team of external facing team members supporting commercial healthcare, and IFP.Accountable for the end-to-end Provider experience across all products in assigned market to include commercial, and IFP.Works closely with Contracting Leads, Network Operation Leads, Market Medical Executives, and Sales to build local market provider relations strategy driving provider experience and HCP index.Identifies and recommends opportunities (financial, clinical and operational) for Provider engagement enhancements to the local market leadership teamCreates and manages local market action plans that drive annual initiatives to increase provider satisfaction base on survey results, competitive intelligence, etc.Ensures team creates, executes and manages strategic and corrective action plans for their aligned book of business.Proactively identify new opportunities and risks for Providers at local market level and drives resolutionCoordinates all budget and expense management activities through effective planning, monitoring and forecastingDevelops and participates in presentations to existing and prospective providers and/or clientsServes as a HCP advocate internally with matrix partners as well as with external provider associationsThis position will be responsible for the ongoing development of staff including providing feedback, coaching and ongoing development.  Additionally, this position is responsible for building and fostering relationships with matrix partners while driving toward issue resolution.Collaborates with Communications Team on internal and external communication needsLeverage provider relationships to execute market strategiesResponsible for ongoing Provider orientation and trainingConvenes local market Office Manager Advisory Council (OMAC)Delivers on regulatory and compliance timelinesResponsible for capturing, documenting, and sharing local market competitive intelligence

                 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required in business, health care management or related field experience.5+ years in health care service delivery, network development or contract management role highly preferred.Possess strong leadership skills with a proven successful track record in managing and developing people in a matrixed organization is required.Builder of Network Value: Strong producer and drives network initiatives to ensure operating targets are achieved to position Cigna's networks as the network of choice by providers and customers.Role Model & Coach: Fosters a competitive environment internally and serves as a role model and coach to direct reports and other employees seeking career development required.Extremely knowledgeable of health plan administrative and operational requirements.Problem solving skills including the ability to systematically analyze complex problems.Work in a highly matrixed environment. Ability to multi-task, shifting effectively among multiple activities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand as well as the ability to understand and interpret complex information from others.Excellent  presentation skills.  Proficient in speaking in both individual and group settings is required.Experience building strong, positive relationships with providersStrong influencing/negotiation skills.History of reimbursement strategies from both perspective –health system/provider and Payors.Up to 25% travel may be required.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 112,000 - 186,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
