GCR Prototyping team is looking for a technical enthusiast and builder who is passionate about technology, understands cloud architectures & platforms and quick to pick up emerging technologies. You will be working with Customers to experiment with innovative approaches and validate the technical feasibility of solutions. As a prototyping SA, you will partner with customers and other AWS teams to craft prototypes that address customer use cases and accelerate the adoption of AWS. Specifically as a prototyping SA, you will design the architecture for customers from different industry, and develop the prototype which shall be production oriented. You will solve interesting technical questions that could have huge impact on customer’s business. Key job responsibilities - Work with the account team and the customer's contact to collect and understand the key business/technical requirements - Define the executable prototype work scope with prototyping engagement manager - Provide the technical design, including the architecture to the customer - Plan the build work with internal resources and consider necessary customer's cooperation - Develop the prototype for/with the customer - Summarize the technical approach, best practice, lessons learned to be leveraged in future similar business case - Ensure the deliverable quality - Partner with internal technical teams on complex problem About the team AWS Prototyping and Cloud Engineering is a technical team to accelerate customer adoption of AWS services. This team responds directly to customer needs in all regions across the world, especially in emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence/machine learning, or big data analytics. The Prototyping program builds usable technology prototypes for customers based on the AWS platform and services by using their existing data, devices, and/or systems for their specific usage scenarios. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve. \#AWSGCR Basic Qualifications - 3-5 years experience in designing, building, refactoring or operating solutions - either on premises or in the cloud - Deep knowledge of software development tools, agile methodologies, active, hands-on coding, and application design experience, with the proficiency developing in one or more modern programming language, tools and frameworks (e.g Python, Java, R, Scala, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop ecosystem, Presto, Hive, Teradata, Elasticsearch and SAS Analytics amongst others) - Experience using GenAI development tools (e.g. code assistants/agents, AI-powered IDEs/CLIs) to support software development tasks - Experience with design, deployment, and evaluation of Large Language Model (LLM)-powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches, using open source frameworks for building applications powered by LLMs like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and/ or similar tools - Strong communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to convey rigorous technical concepts and considerations to non-experts Preferred Qualifications - Experience building generative AI applications on AWS using services such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker. - In-depth working knowledge in a technology domain such as distributed internet-scale web applications, DevOps, Serverless, high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, Change Data Capture (CDC), highly secured workloads etc. - Experience with migrating workloads between data centers or from on-premise to cloud. - Experience with agile development or similar methodologies for continuous product development and deployment. - High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations both in Mandarin and English, with the ability to demonstrate body of work and influence (e.g. public repositories, public speaking, Open Source contributions or similar). - Scientific thinking and the ability to invent, a track record of thought leadership and contributions that have advanced the field. - Demonstrated ability to leverage agentic AI approach/workflows/paradigm to enhance problem-solving capabilities in appropriate technical scenarios.
