Owns and drives the proposal and bid life cycle from start to finish while working closely with internal stakeholders to develop the most competitive bid possible. In addition to strong project management and stakeholder management skills, this role requires a strong command of the bids and proposals process with the ability to manage multiple proposals at a single time.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Manages end to end proposal and bid life cycle by ensuring bids and proposals are complete on-time.Work closely with internal subject matter experts to create solutions and develop strategies to win bids while complying with customer and company requirements.Lead strategy and planning meetings by serving as the project manager to clarify requirements and delegate tasks to ensure bid deliverables and timelines are met.Researches, analyzes, and derives insights from information to ensure company is putting together a competitive offering.Supports bid and proposal team by creating monthly KPI reports and working on internal team projects to make the bids team more effective and efficient.Acts as focal point for questions concerning specifics of quotes and proposals.Prepares monthly reports tracking quotation activity and key metrics.Nature and Scope
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Education and Experience
