Description We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in accounting operations for real estate properties. The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure compliance, and contribute to accurate reporting. Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain financial records for multiple real estate entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Execute month-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments. • Utilize Yardi software to manage accounting tasks and generate reports. • Perform accrual accounting and ensure proper allocation of expenses and revenues. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. • Collaborate with property managers to ensure alignment of financial data. • Analyze financial statements and provide insights to support decision-making. • Assist with audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered. • Proficiency in Yardi software is required. • Solid understanding of month-end close processes and multi-entity accounting. • Expertise in accrual accounting principles and practices. • Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
