Property Accountant

Job Description Summary

The Property Accountant is a key role within the Finance team in the FSC and helps to ensure that all corporate and client payments are made accurately, within deadlines and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of Funds Request Report and Invoice

Reconciliation of reimbursement invoices

Revenue/expenditure payment runs

Processing of batched bank payments

Preparation of monthly Bank reconciliations

Review Creditor Aging and Bank Reconciliation items – KPI

Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control structures.

Drive efficiency and productivity through standardization and improvements to processes and reporting.

Background and Experience

The role requires individuals who are experienced with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Reporting.

A previous role working within a similar finance role is highly desirable.

Business partnering experience from working with business and support teams will be beneficial.

Experience in dealing with outsourced providers and managing their performance is highly desirable.

Experience in procedure and process ownership, change and continuous improvement is highly desirable.

Occupation specific capabilities:

Tertiary Finance qualification is desired but not essential.

2+ years’ experience

Strong IT skills

High proficiency in MS Excel

Exposure to JDE preferred

Preferred Requirements:

Permanent Resident

Location: Canberra is preferred, but we are open to considering applicants based in Melbourne
