Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Role Definition** The Connectivity & Service Solutions Division is seeking a leader to drive the continued development of the Remote Service solution (Over-the-Air / OTA), specifically, defining and implementing a standard service interface for 3rd party ECUs. Caterpillar and Cat® dealers provide customers with excellent technology offerings and premium service. Depending on the product configuration and service choices, Remote Service empowers them with a suite of capabilities including remote software updates, remote diagnostics, and remote service tests **What You Will Do:** + Negotiate commitments versus requests + Ensure delivered stories meet business requirements and suitable for integration and validation + Ensure proper mock-ups are designed as part of features and or user stories’ descriptions with UI/UX designers + Develop plans following Agile principles: incremental value, “INVEST”, demonstrable quickly, minimum viable and demonstrable, etc. + Coordinate defect reviewing with the business / product team and delivery teams to evaluate criticality and resolution plan + Communicate deliverables and releases outside of the team + Keep up with industry trends and new technology breakthroughs through continuous learning + Serve as a liaison between product and development teams. + Decompose product features in user stories that meet the Definition of Ready (DoR). + Manage the development team backlog, arranging, and prioritizing sprints. + Evaluate progress at each stage of development. + Answer developer questions about the reasoning behind user stories or tasks. **What You Will Have:** + **Requirements Analysis:** Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project. + **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. + **Teamwork:** Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with; ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels. + **Software Development:** Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements. + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors **Top Candidates Will Have:** + Requires a degree in an accredited Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science curriculum + Typically have 10+ years of experience in embedded software systems + Extensive experience with non-Cat ECU / ECM systems and software integration - 3rd Party Interface + Experience using Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) protocol and related standards to provide integrated product service solutions. **Additional Details:** + This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office. + Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position. + Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position. \#LI **Summary Pay Range:** $147,760.00 - $221,640.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
