Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Project Task Manager on a large cloud project. In this role, you will provide project management, as needed, for software release and operational task management, coach internal and external scrum team members on SAFe Essential.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished Project Task Manager with Medicare or healthcare Project Management experience. The candidate must be capable of working in a dynamic environment, ensuring the timely delivery of quality work products using SAFe Agile methodologies.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Plan time-boxed sprint planning and execution.Schedule and conduct daily scrums, backlog reviews, and retrospectives with team.Gather & disseminate project information on a regular basis, documenting team agreements, sprint plans, release plans, and retrospectives.Create an environment of team spirit and excitement around what is being delivered.Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate appropriately as needed.Conduct meetings with clients to gather information needed to complete the team’s deliveries.Support other team capability areas and quality assurance activities.Perform general project management and coordination tasks as needed.Train new team members on Agile development using SAFe Agile methodology.Acts as a liaison between development teams and product management, ensuring that appropriate project process is made.Identifies and resolves impediments that slow development or prevent the team from meeting established goals or milestones.Motivates teams to perform and ensures team members are collectively responsible for all aspects of the committed work (analysis, development, testing, documentation, etc.).Provides reports based on team capacity and how the team is preforming against capacity.Serves as an advisor for up to three medium size Agile teams.May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS in related fieldRequired Experience: 5+ years of Scrum Master experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Technical Skills: Experience with Scrum Master/Agile/Kanban; Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian tools; SharePoint, MS Office (including MS Project)Security Clearance Level: None required; Must be able to pass a Public TrustRequired Skills and Abilities: Good team work and communication skills with all levels of staffPreferred Skills: Prior Agile project experience in the federal space; Scrum Master certification preferred; Backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition; Fundamentals of iterative development; Translating requirements into user stories; Fundamentals of software development and integration processes and procedures; Incremental delivery and the value of metricsLocation: 100% remote workingResidency Requirement: Applicants shall have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior to submitting an application for a Federal ID Card.
